Carroll County Housing Market Analysis - April 2025

Carroll County was the subject of a housing market analysis in 2025 as part of a regional project by West TN Planning, an initiative led by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD). West TN Planning prepared reports for each of the 21 counties in West Tennessee; you can learn more on West TN Planning's website.

This housing study examines the potential demand for housing in Carroll County projected to be generated and compares that demand to the existing housing market and to the capacity for new housing development based on general land use.

Airport

The Sgt. Lee Russell Carroll Co. Airport is located within the McKenzie Industrial Park. The airport has a 5,500’ x 100’ runway and is equipped with a rotary beacon, VASI, and runway end strobes.

Also on site is an 80’ x 100’ hangar and tiedowns. NBC-217 and ABOS are in service. Available fuel includes Jet A and AV gas. An attendant is available 24 hours a day. The airport also has a 3,400 ft. parallel taxiway and 8 “T” hangars.
