The McKenzie Municipal-Regional Planning Commission is responsible for the preparation, adoption, and execution of an official General Plan to guide the city’s development in regards to land use, economy, capital projects, and public services. The Planning Commission cooperates with public officials and agencies to provide advisory reports ensuring that McKenzie’s growth aligns with the established plan and serves the community’s needs.
The McKenzie Planning Commission meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 3:30pm.
Commission members serve a term of 3 years, except for the mayor and councilpeople who serve their elected terms.
